The Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter is an electronic device that senses the pressure of a liquid or gaseous sample in a system or a pipeline and converts this into analog output signals.
The 3051c by Rosemount uses a piezoresistive sensor that converts the pressure it senses to electrical resistance, against which the device is calibrated. This is then transmitted to the display and the PLC (or DCS) system.
Determine the mounting location and orientation. Assemble all the flanges, manifolds, adapters, and connectors for the pressure transmitter and mount the device. Connect the wiring, ground the device, check seals, and connect it to the PLC (if needed). For detailed instructions, check out the Rosemount 3051c manual.
The 3051c allows coplanar technology, i.e., flexible installation and two additional communication protocols of Profibus, 1-5 V Low Power HART. In comparison, the 3051S has a higher accuracy of 0.025%. Thus, you need to choose between the two devices based on the requirements of the industrial process.
